CHALLENGES

The customer ran into an issue updating the Zoom user interface for the iPads. For some iPads, the Apple store asked for the password to edit any apps. The previous IT director used a personal Apple store ID, so the client didn't know the password or security question. The issue was complex, there were no passwords/authentication methods provided for each room. Not only this but 14 rooms in total faced a similar issue.

Assessment and solution

The customer reached out to Pm2net for this issue. Pm2net assisted with the issue and overrode the store ID with the user ID. But, since the user ID was on a business account, it could not update the Zoom app linked to an old ID. So, our team removed the Zoom app and reinstalled it. Not only this, but 84 tasks in total were completed in just two days that including:

  • Zoom and Apple software updates for iPad and Mac Mini

  • Configuration of noise ratio for Zoom to resolve reverb issues

  • iPad updates that required sign-in credentials and passcode
