CHALLENGES

The customer required assistance in configuring Intune in their already existing Microsoft 365 tenant, including advanced services, profiles, Updates, Applications, and Policies for their Windows and MacOS workstations.

Assessment and solution

To assist with the problem of the customer, PM2NET provided a senior engineer who engaged in multiple phases of the project to provide the resolution. The high-level phases involved in this project are described below:

Phase 1: Discovery

This involved the documentation of the existing M365/Azure AD tenant environment including existing cloud architecture, licensing and User structure, current on-premises environment, including AD infrastructure, Wireless infrastructure, Group Policies assigned to target devices/users, and proposed Hybrid On-Prem/Azure AD architecture currently in place

Phase 2: Planning

This included a Review of the Discovery Document and design of the implementation plan for production deployment

Phase 3: Implementation

The implementation phase involved the

1. Baseline Microsoft 365 / Azure AD / On-Premises Tenant Configuration

2. Core Intune Configuration

3. Configuration of Device Policies

4. Addition and Creation of Application Policies

5. Creation of Device Configuration Profile Groups

Phase 4: Knowledge Transfer

The last phase involved the presentation of key changes to end-client, a solution training to the client’s IT team the compilation of documents, and delivery to the end-client.
