CHALLENGES

The client needed assistance with the location of APs that are installed at one of their sites. The client requested the on-site survey to ensure that all the access points were properly positioned.

Assessment and solution

For the execution of this project team required the actual sq. foot of the area and also the Map of AP locations. Ekahau software tools were used for the measurements of AP signal strength. Ekahau helps businesses build and maintain high-performing Wi-Fi networks. [ak1] This software is used to design, validate, optimize, and troubleshoot Wi-Fi.

The deliverable for this project is a raw Ekahau report post the survey that identifies any anomalies and illustrates the AP recording. The report provides the customer knowledge of whether the network equipment has been positioned correctly.
