CHALLENGES
The school has requested the configuration of two Kemp load balancers. Kemp load balancers are critical components in distributing network or application traffic across multiple servers to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and availability. By deploying two load balancers, the school aims to enhance redundancy and fault tolerance, minimizing downtime and ensuring seamless operation even if one unit fails. This setup will effectively handle high volumes of traffic and provide scalability as the facility grows, supporting its infrastructure needs efficiently
Assessment and solution
The discovery call or meeting with the customer initiated the process, followed by configuring VLANs and port bundles. Once completed, a test server VIP (Virtual IP) configuration was set up on the load balancer to ensure functionality. Subsequently, comprehensive documentation, including a data sheet, was prepared and shared with the customer. Finally, the production VIP configuration was implemented, completing the setup to enhance network performance, reliability, and scalability according to the customer's requirements.
